And the winners are …

Gatineau unveiled the winners of the Reg'Art d'égout public art contest. Dimitri Gagnon Morris in the residents category and Véronique Marcil in the employee category caught the jury's eyes.

Installation of the new manhole covers

Last summer, a storm sewer (resident category) and a sanitary sewer (employee category) manhole cover reproducing the winners' designs were produced and installed in each of the five municipal sectors. As well, Gatineau installed one of these manhole covers in the street close to respective winners' residences.

The new storm and sanitary sewer cover designs will gradually be installed as the old ones come due for replacement.

The Reg'Art d'égout urban art contest launched last winter sparked the creativity and imagination of many residents and employees! Gatineau received approximately 215 submissions. The finalists were as follows:
