Gatineau, November 3, 2013. – The Mayor and the 18 Councillors entrusted with forming the new Municipal Council were voted in through the November 3 municipal election.

In total, 79,720 electors, which is 42.17% of the 189,036 electors called upon to vote, turned out for this election.

The following is the list of results, which are also posted on the municipal Web site at www.gatineau.ca/election.

NOVEMBER 3 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Marc BUREAU: 28,146 votes (36.13%)
François P. D'AOUST: 1,266 votes (1.63%)
Jacques LEMAY: 7,492 votes (9.62%)
Maxime PEDNEAUD-JOBIN, Action Gatineau:
40,991 votes (52.62%) ELECTED

The ballots will be conciliated in the afternoon of November 4, after which the results will be official.

The newly elected officials will be sworn in on November 12, and the first meeting of the Municipal Council is scheduled for November 19.

Gatineau thanks every resident who exercised his/her right to vote.
