Municipal building closures maintained to relieve traffic congestion tomorrow May 9

Gatineau, May 8, 2017. – Due to the floods, Ville de Gatineau is maintaining closures for some municipal buildings. Municipal employees who work in these buildings are asked to stay home. The purpose of this decision is to relieve traffic congestion.
The following municipal buildings are closed on the day of Tuesday, May 9
- All service centre offices except for 311 and the police station next to the Hull service centre
- All branches of the Gatineau library
- Centre sportif, municipal arenas, Lucien-Houle and Paul-Pelletier water centres and Lac-Beauchamp and Lac-Leamy outdoor centres
- Maison du citoyen, except for the municipal court.
The usual working hours are maintained for municipal employees working in other municipal buildings.

Municipal court

Trial hearings before the municipal court in Maison du citoyen and in the Pionniers building are maintained. Only administrative offices of the court registry are closed.

Centre sportif, water centres, outdoor centres, libraries and school facilities

These closures are effective for the day of May 9. Evening activities should resume by 4 p.m. on May 9:
- Centre sportif
- Paul-Pelletier and Lucien-Houle water centres
- Lac-Beauchamp outdoor centre

The following will remain closed in the evening: Branches of the Gatineau library, arenas and sports activities in school facilities.
