This applies to a generalized municipal lockdown situation. In the event of a provincial lockdown or isolation as with COVID-19, refer to the Government of Quebec site for details.

If you are asked to stay put

Right in the building where you are:

  • Follow the authorities' instructions.
  • Shut the doors and windows.
  • Watch for the news on the radio, TV or Internet. Follow the instructions you are given.

If the situation calls for it:

  • Seal doors and windows with plasticized adhesive tape or damp rags.
  • Shut off every system with an air intake from the outside (air exchanger, air conditioner, thermal pump, range hood, dryer, etc.).
  • Block the air intakes of those systems with rags or damp cloths to prevent any toxic gas from penetrating your home.
