Your bins are now emptied by a truck equipped with a robotic arm.
To enable the truck to collect your bins properly, make sure you follow the instructions below:
Ville de Gatineau wheeled bins (brown, blue and grey bins)
80 to 360 litre European model wheeled bins identified by a “V” (for “vert”) for yard waste (any colour other than blue)
Ville de Gatineau labels for overflow garbage bags
These bags must be placed next to the street along with the grey bin, to be collected at the same time as your grey bin.

Your bins will only be emptied if they are accessible and properly placed. The following are the additional instructions for winter collection:

Street with sidewalk maintained in winter | Place bins at the end of the driveway, before the sidewalk |

Street with sidewalk and grass strip | Place bins at the end of the driveway, aligned with the grass strip |
Street with mixed-use lane | Place bins at the end of the driveway, before the mixed-use lane |
Street with mixed-use lane, grass strip and sidewalk | Place bins at the end of the driveway, aligned with the grass strip, before the sidewalk |
Street with widened sidewalk maintained in winter | Place bins at the end of the driveway, on the widened sidewalk, next to the street |
