Fees and materials accepted

Fees for dropping off residual materials at an ecocentre and the waste transfer centre vary depending on the user and according to by-law 61-2006 on fees. As of January 1, 2024, residents and approved NPOs in Gatineau are entitled to three free loads of bulky waste annually at the ecocentres, a maximum of 2 m3 per load, per occupancy unit. A $9 fee will be charged for every additional load, for a maximum of 1 m3 per load, which is equivalent to the contents of a 2.44 x 1.22 x 0.3 metre (8 x 4 x 1 foot) trailer.

Small businesses are charged $9 for the first load at the ecocentre, for a maximum of 1 m3 per load.

Residents, small businesses and approved NPOs are charged the same fee for dropping off bulky waste at the waste transfer centre as they pay for household waste.

Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card or cash.
