Ville de Gatineau routinely invites its citizens to take part in public consultations. The purpose of these exercises is to find out what Gatineau residents think about the key issues.
Once a consultation stage has been completed, a consultation report is drawn up and the recommendations and suggestions made by citizens are reviewed by the appropriate administrative units and by the Municipal Council. After this, if the project is approved, it is implemented by the municipality.
Recognized for its quality of life, Gatineau is a city of 292,000 inhabitants. It is located on the north shore of the Ottawa River, and extends east and west of the Gatineau River.
