Would you like to report a situation that contravenes the government's instructions and directives* on COVID-19?

You can do so by calling the SPVG at 819-246-0222. Your report will then be forwarded to the appropriate officials and may lead to checks. Police will be sent to intervene if the situation so warrants.

The following are examples of situations that may be reported:

  • a prohibited gathering;
  • failure to follow health measures, including the use of a mask or face covering in an enclosed public space or on public transportation; and
  • failure to maintain physical distancing.
IMPORTANT: To report a failure to comply with health measures:

- do not call 911: this phone line is reserved for situations requiring immediate assistance; and

- do not use the SPVG's social media messaging services because they are not monitored 24/7 and therefore cannot receive reports.

If the situation you wish to report occurred outside of Gatineau, please contact the police service that has jurisdiction in that area.

*As you know, in Quebec, health is a provincial responsibility. For additional information about the government's instructions, please go to Government of Quebec.
