Application for a record suspension

An application for a record suspension suspension de casier judiciaire (formerly a “pardon”) to the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is a way to recognize that you are of good conduct. Subject to certain conditions, an individual can apply for a record suspension if that person was convicted under a federal law or regulation of Canada, even if that person is not a citizen or resident of Canada.

You can obtain the Record Suspension Application Form from postes de police. The form is available in both languages.

A record suspension application must include a local police records check from each of the areas where you lived in the last five years (including the one where you currently live). There is a $72 fee for each records check, and you have to fill out the Local Police Records Check Form, which is included in the Record Suspension Application Form.

Please note that the Service de police does not do the fingerprinting required for this application.
