Espace Outaouais

Since 1985, the Espace agencies have been working on the prevention of all forms of violence against children in cooperation with different organizations: schools, early childhood centres, sport and recreation groups, etc. It is important to inform children and adults about violence and to equip them to better prevent and deal with it.

  • The Espace program includes workshops for staff, parents and children aged 3 to 12. The workshop for children is presented in the form of situation simulations.
  • Using age-appropriate simple language, different topics are addressed: our rights and the rules we have to follow, taxing among children, abuses by known and other people, tricks used by abusers, the associated feelings, the different aspects of violence, the search for solutions and local resources.
