The Défi de l'Ours polaire will be held for the first time in Gatineau on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m.! During this event, many people, including SPVG police officers and civilian employees, as well as members of partner organizations, will brave the frozen waters of the Lac Leamy in support of Special Olympics Quebec!

This is a new fundraising activity organized by police officers of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and all proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Quebec. Every dollar raised will help fund Special Olympics Quebec programs for athletes with an intellectual disability, in which social inclusion is achieved through sport, health and community.

Come and cheer on the participants as they brave the ice-cold Lac Leamy. It starts at noon at the Lac-Leamy Hotel and Casino marina.
