Gatineau endorses the ten key basic principles underlying the open data portal movement established by the Sunlight Foundation.
Open data should be complete, primary source data, timely, accessible, machine readable, non-discriminatory, freely available, free of licensing restrictions, available in perpetuity, and lowest possible cost.
Recognized for its quality of life, Gatineau is a city of 292,000 inhabitants. It is located on the north shore of the Ottawa River, and extends east and west of the Gatineau River.
