Preventive boil water advisory for approximately 400 users in the Gatineau sector

Gatineau, October 18, 2022. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for approximately 400 users in the Gatineau sector. There may be a drop in water pressure or a water interruption for homes in the sector. This preventive advisory is being issued as a result of a watermain break this morning on boulevard La Vérendrye West near the intersection with montée Paiement. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

The affected residences are located between 1 and 95 Coteau Street.

If you are in the area covered by the boil water advisory

Affected individuals and establishments must boil their tap water for one minute before consuming it until further notice.
Once the preventive boil water advisory has been lifted:
- Open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold before using it. The same applies to water fountains.
- Discard any ice made with tap water while the advisory was in effect.
