Regulatory Boil Advisory in a Portion of the Hull Sector

Gatineau, December 3, 2025. – Gatineau is issuing a regulatory boil water advisory for approximatively 3,200 residences for a portion of the Hull sector (see perimeter image below). Please note that Gatineau regularly monitors water quality pursuant to the Règlement sur la qualité de l'eau potable (RQEP). This advisory is in effect until further notice.


Quick facts

If you're in the boil water advisory area:
– You must boil your water for one minute before consuming it and continue to do so until the city lifts the advisory.
Once the boil water advisory has been lifted:
– Open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute, or until it turns cold, before using it.
– Follow the same procedure for water fountains.
– Discard any ice made with water while the advisory was in effect.
