Water Consumption Ban in the Aylmer sector
Gatineau, September 11, 2015. – Gatineau has issued an advisory against the consumption of municipal tap water for part of the Aylmer sector (the affected perimeter is indicated on the attached map).
Municipal crews are taking the necessary steps.

As a result of work on the water supply system, a contaminated substance (grease) has infiltrated the system, hence the reason for this advisory.
●
As of right now, there is a ban on the consumption of municipal tap water for all residents in the affected perimeter.
●
The advisory remains in effect until further notice.
●
Municipal tap water is not to be used for cooking, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
●
Under the circumstances, there is nothing to be gained by boiling the water.
●
Gatineau will inform the public as soon as the advisory is lifted.
●
Residents can check the municipal Web site for updates.
●
Gatineau will be distributing bottled water at the centre communautaire Belmont (26 rue Belmont). o This distribution will begin as soon as possible (check the municipal Web site for details).
