GATINEAU ONCE AGAIN TO HOST THE GRAND PRIX CYCLISTE DE GATINEAU

Gatineau, February 13, 2013. – Gatineau will once again join with the Corporation de la Grande Visite de Gatineau in presenting the Grand Prix cycliste de Gatineau from May 17 to 20, 2013 on home soil.

"The Grand Prix cycliste de Gatineau is now one of the biggest cycling events in the world. This makes Gatineau particularly proud to contribute $55,000 towards this annual rendez-vous. I would like to thank the organizers who, with the help of the partners and volunteers, bring about this great celebration of cycling in Gatineau," indicated Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau.

As with the last edition, which attracted more than 700 participants and over 5000 spectators, the main competition site will be at the intersection of boulevard des Allumettières and rue Labelle, in the Hull sector.

The high calibre competitions will be rounded out by activities for the whole family. Every single member of the cycling community in Gatineau, Quebec, and the rest of Canada and North America is invited to roll in Gatineau during this fabulous cycling event.
