Boil water advisory for residents of the Zone blanche sector

Gatineau, April 19, 2021. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for approximately 1,200 homes in the zone blanche sector. This advisory is further to an interruption in the water supply due to work between Labrosse and Lorrain. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.


In the zone affected by the preventive boil water advisory

  • Individuals and establishments must boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is lifted.
  • After the preventive boil water advisory is lifted:
    - Cold water taps must be left to run for one minute or until the water runs cold before consuming it. Follow the same procedure for water fountains;
    - Discard any ice made with tap water during the preventive boil water advisory
