PREVENTIVE BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN THE BUCKINGHAM SECTOR
Gatineau, July 13, 2011. – Due to a power failure, which affected the water reservoir, a boil water preventive advisory is in effect for the whole Buckingham sector.
The citizens and the institutions affected by this disruption should boil the water for at least one minute until the City lift the boil water advisory.
Citizen should :
• Open all cold water taps (sinks and water fountains) and let the water run for one minute or until cold before using it; and
• Run outside taps, such as the ones connected to garden hoses.
• Discard any ice that was made using water coming through the taps during the boil water advisory.
Gatineau officials thank the citizens for their usual cooperation.
