Regulatory boil advisory for part of Gatineau sector
Gatineau September 12, 2018 - Gatineau is issuing a regulatory boil water advisory for approximatively 8,000 residences for part of Gatineau sector. Please note that Gatineau regularly monitors water quality pursuant to the Regulation respecting the quality of drinking water (RQEP). This advisory is in effect until further notice.
The boil water advisory is contained in the following area: - North of boulevard de La Vérendrye - South of the highway 50; - East of boulevard Gréber; - West of the Grand-Ruisseau street

If you are in the area covered by the boil water advisory

Affected residents and institutions must boil their tap water for at least one minute before consuming it.

They must continue to do so until Gatineau lifts the boil water advisory.
●
Please note that the boil water advisory only applies to water used for consumption and for brushing teeth.
●
Once the boil water advisory has been lifted: - all cold water taps, including water fountains, must be opened and the water left to run for one minute or until it gets cold before it can be consumed; and - any ice made from tap water run during the boil water advisory must be discarded.
