Lifting of the boil water advisory for the Gatineau sector

Gatineau, March 13, 2026. – La Ville de Gatineau informs residents that the preventive boil water advisory in effect since March 12 for the Gatineau sector has been lifted. The sample analyses conducted confirm that the water is safe to drink.

Residents affected by the lifting of the advisory (area in green) should turn on all taps and let the water run for one minute or until it gets cold before using it. The same procedure should be followed for drinking fountains and any ice made during the advisory period should be discarded.
