Flood update: water levels should remain stable until Friday

Gatineau, April 25, 2023. – According to the latest updates from the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board (ORRPB), water levels should remain steady or drop slightly over the next few days.

Meteorologists and hydrologists are tracking a system that could bring significant rainfall between this coming Friday and Tuesday. Although it is too soon to be certain, water levels could rise starting Sunday if these forecasts pan out. We will know more as the weekend approaches.

Gatineau reminds shoreline property owners to keep the protections they have installed in place and to remain vigilant.

Rue Jacques-Cartier is now open to all traffic.
