Boil water advisory for parts of the Hull sector in Gatineau
Gatineau, May 31, 2016. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a boil water advisory for parts of the Hull sector in Gatineau. This advisory is related with rehabilitation work on a water valve chamber in the sector.
This advisory will be in effect at 5 am, June 1st for every home located in parts of the Hull sector. About 24,661 people are affected by this advisory. (See map.)

Affected residents and institutions will have to boil their water for one minute before consuming it.

Residents should continue as such until the boil water advisory is lifted.
●
Please note that the boil water advisory only concerns water that is to be consumed or used for brushing teeth. The tap water can safely be used as is for baths, showers, laundry and doing dishes
Once the boil water advisory is lifted Once the boil water advisory has been lifted, the affected residents will have to:

Open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold before using it;
●
Do the same with the water fountains; and throw out any ice that was made while the boil water advisory was in effect.
