Gatineau, December 4, 2014. – Gatineau would like to inform the public about scheduled repairs to the water supply system at the intersection of Vanier and McConnell in the Aylmer sector. The work will take place between 11 p.m. on December 5 and around 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

In this regard, Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for residents and businesses within the perimeter affected by this work, that is to say:
• between the streets north of chemin d'Aylmer and south of boulevard des Allumettières; and
• on the streets west of rue de Honfleur and east of rue Samuel-Edey.

Starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, December 5, all residents and businesses within the affected perimeter must boil their water for one minute before consuming it. Tap water may be discoloured. In this case, open the cold water taps and let the water run until it clears.

Gatineau will notify the public as soon as the preventive boil water advisory has been lifted.

While the work is underway, drivers are asked to follow the signs and take the indicated detours.

Gatineau thanks residents for their usual cooperation.
