Gatineau, June 6, 2012. – Ville de Gatineau invites all residents to join in the festivities planned for the second weekend of Gatineau Week.

The range of activities that have been programmed will provide many fun opportunities to learn more about some of the services offered by their municipal government.

"I invite all Gatineau residents to take part in the numerous activities organized for the second weekend of Gatineau Week. Once again, residents will get the chance to find out more about the many services provided by Gatineau, while having some fun with family and friends," pointed out Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau.

Thursday, June 7

This week, don't miss the history and heritage discovery tour of Vieux-Hull, which will start in front of Maison du citoyen at 7 p.m.

The Rendez-vous des familles
Saturday, June 9

This year, the Rendez-vous des familles will continue for a second weekend, as école secondaire Hormisdas-Gamelin welcomes families on Saturday, June 9 in the Buckingham sector.

There will be something for everyone throughout the day, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The club Optimiste 5-km family bicycle tour will begin at 10 a.m. In addition, municipal employees will be on hand to talk about the environmental services provided by Gatineau, and its Bureau de l'ombudsman.

June 9 and 10 weekend

The June 9 and 10 weekend will wrap up Gatineau Week in style with the highly popular giant used book sale, guided tours of the Gatineau water treatment plan, the Gatineau 360° mystery event for the 800 youth between 12 and 17 years of age who earned a pass, and Des chutes en art heritage tour!
