Gatineau, February 11, 2015. – The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) is asking the public to help identify four suspects involved in a number of cases of cell phone thefts.

Since early December 2014, some well organized individuals have committed several thefts in shopping centres from booths specializing in the sale of mobile phones. These thefts, which occurred before the booths opened, resulted in the illegal appropriation of cell phones valued at more than $100,000.

The SPVG investigation has revealed that similar thefts were committed in different cities in Quebec and Ontario.

SPVG police officers are asking the public to provide any information that could help identify the four suspects described below:

Description of suspect no. 1:

- Male, Caucasian in appearance
- Black jacket with a felt collar over an insulated gray jacket coat
- Black gloves with a North Face logo
- Blue jeans with a Levi's logo and red markings
- Gray belt with a white Energy logo
- Black shoes or short boots

Description of suspect no. 2:

- Male, Caucasian in appearance
- Black cap with a red and blue logo on the visor
- Black jacket with a North Face logo
- Blue jeans with a Levi's logo and red markings
- Brown leather belt
- Black gloves with a small white logo
- Black shoes or short boots

Description of suspect no. 3:

- Male or female, Caucasian in appearance
- Black toque with an Oakley logo
- Prescription glasses
- Black insulated coat with a hood, Canada Goose logo, and Hybridge Lite Hoody markings
- Dark pants
- Black gloves with a North Face logo

Description of suspect no. 4:

- Male, Caucasian in appearance
- Short dark hair
- Gray jacket with a hood and fur trim (aviator style) with a Canada Goose logo
- Blue jeans
- Black gloves with a Nike logo
- Black shoes or short boots
