TRANSACTIONS WITH VILLE DE GATINEAU IN THE EVENT OF A CANADA POST STRIKE
Gatineau, June 3, 2011. – Gatineau would like to inform the public of how to proceed with financial transactions involving Ville de Gatineau in the event of a Canada Post strike.
Payment of municipal taxes, fines and other invoices
Taxpayers may make their payments to Ville de Gatineau in person at the following locations:
Maison du citoyen
Taxes and other municipal invoices: Service des finances (3rd floor)
Fines: Cour municipale (6th floor)
Service centres in the different sectors
Aylmer sector: 115 rue Principale
Buckingham sector: 515 rue Charles
Gatineau sector: 144 boulevard de l'Hôpital
Hull sector: 775 boulevard de la Carrière
Masson-Angers sector: 57 chemin de Montréal Est
Please note that the municipal offices are open Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the summer. However, the Hull and Gatineau service centres remain open between noon and 1:00 p.m. The Buckingham and Masson-Angers service centres close at noon on Fridays.
Outside business hours, cheques can be left in the service centre boxes designated for this purpose.
Municipal taxes and fines can also paid at your financial institution or through its online banking.
Payments to suppliers and submission of invoices
Suppliers can go directly to the Service des finances, Maison du citoyen (3rd floor), to pick up their cheques. Suppliers who would like their cheques delivered by messenger can call 819-595-7220 to make arrangements.
Suppliers can submit their invoices and statements to the Service des finances on the 3rd floor of Maison du citoyen or by e-mail to gatineau.factures@gatineau.ca, being sure to indicate the address and name of the billing contact.
General correspondence
General correspondence can be dropped off in person at any service centre. As well, documents and correspondence can be sent to any municipal department by e-mail or fax.
