BOULEVARD SAINT-JOSEPH AND RUE AMHERST INTERSECTION CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
Gatineau, November 7, 2012. – Gatineau wishes to inform the public that it will be conducting some major work to replace a sewer pipe at the boulevard Saint-Joseph and rue Amherst intersection in the Hull sector.
Full Closure of the Intersection
The boulevard Saint-Joseph and rue Amherst intersection will be fully closed to traffic from November 10 to 19, 2012, inclusively. Only local traffic will be allowed on boulevard Saint-Joseph between Dalpé and Taschereau.
In order to ensure that the work is completed as quickly as possible, Gatineau Executive Committee passed a resolution authorizing the contractor to work outside of normally permitted hours.
Businesses Will Remain Open and Accessible
Every business in the affected area will remain open and accessible.
Detours
Drivers will be asked to follow the signs that will enable them to avoid the construction zone. A map showing all the possible detours is posted on the municipal Web site.
