Gatineau, March 30, 2012. – Gatineau is proud to be associated with the Grand Prix cycliste de Gatineau for the ninth consecutive year. This event, which will run from May 18 to 21, is organized by the Corporation (sic) de la Grande Visite de Gatineau.

"Gatineau is proud to host the Grand Prix cycliste, an exceptional event. In addition to being a cycling celebration for the entire family, this spring get-together gives Gatineau residents the opportunity to see the world's best cyclists in their own city, making it one of the major cycling destinations in the country. For the 2012 edition, I invite residents to take part in the Grande Visite nocturne, an outing that will be taking place in the evening for the very first time," indicated Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau.

Gatineau provides a generous contribution upwards of $55,000 in cash and services to the Grand Prix cycliste de Gatineau. As in 2011, the main site will be at the intersection of boulevard des Allumettières and rue Labelle.

All residents and the entire cycling community in Quebec, Canada and North America are invited to take part in this great celebration of cycling in Gatineau.

We would like to thank all the volunteers and partners who contribute directly or indirectly to this event's success.

Whatever the weather, join us on your bicycle! We look forward to seeing you between May 18 and 21!
