CELEBRATING FINE FOOD AT THE RENDEZ-VOUS DES SAVEURS DE GATINEAU
Gatineau, September 19, 2012. – Gatineau is pleased to support the 16th edition of the Rendez-vous des saveurs de Gatineau, taking place October 12 to 14 at the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
"Gatineau is delighted to be associated with this event, attended every year by more than 10,000 visitors, through its contribution of close to $26,000 in funds and services. The Rendez-vous des saveurs de Gatineau is a perfect opportunity to showcase the work of our local chefs and producers. I invite all Gatineau residents to come and sample the delightful dishes at this fabulous gastronomic fiesta," indicated Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau.
The gastronomy, wine and spirits show will feature culinary treasures by local chefs and producers. The top restaurant owners, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, sommeliers, chefs and producers specializing in agri-food will be on hand to deliver a culinary experience out of this world.
You will also be regaled with various activities such as workshops and demonstrations by guest chefs.
New this year:
• composting, as a tribute to the environment,
• the Salon des saveurs du monde, an area dedicated to foods from around the world (salon Royal), and
• the Tablée des chefs, from which all leftovers will be donated to Moisson Outaouais, a local food bank.
Gatineau would like to express its appreciation to the organizing committee, the members of the board of directors, the partners and the volunteers who have joined hands to serve up an event showcasing the quality of our very own products.
