Gatineau, November 1st, 2013. – Gatineau would like to remind residents that the municipal election will be taking place this Sunday, November 3, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. (EST). Clocks are to be turned back to normal time between Saturday night and Sunday morning this weekend.

Electors are being asked to elect a municipal councillor for their electoral district and a mayor.

Every elector whose name appears on the list of electors will have received a reminder notice indicating the electoral district, voting station location, and polling subdivision number.

To help speed things up and make the process go more efficiently, Gatineau invites electors to bring this card as well as one of the following valid IDs:

• a Quebec driver's licence or probationary licence;
• a Quebec health insurance card;
• a Canadian passport;
• a Status Indian certificate issued to persons registered in the Indian Register under the Indian Act; or
• a Canadian Forces ID card, issued to personnel by the Department of National Defence (Order CFAO 26-3).

In total, 189,036 Gatineau residents are eligible to vote.
