Gatineau, May 3, 2012. – Gatineau is pleased to be a partner in the second edition of the Festibière de Gatineau. This event will take place at parc du Lac-Leamy from May 25 to 27, 2012, and will be hosted by its honorary chairman, well-known beerologist Mario D'Eer.
"Gatineau is proud to be part of this second edition of Festibière. Its total contribution to this event comes to $40,000 in cash and services. The Festibière was a hit last year, drawing close to 20,000 guests. Besides proposing new discoveries and interesting encounters, the Festibière provides the opportunity to discover the products and know-how of local and visiting experts. I congratulate the organizers, and I invite all Gatineau residents to attend this event in large numbers," indicated Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau.
Brewers and exhibitors, who will be even more numerous this year, invite festival-goers to discover micro-brewery beers from across Quebec, and to sample dishes made from products of the land in a country and family atmosphere. Workshops, conferences, musical performances, entertainers and troubadours complete the program.
