Gatineau, February 12, 2014. – Gatineau today proudly launched its all new gatineau.ca, a fully revamped municipal Web site.
"Gatineau's Web site is a leading source of information for residents. This is clear from the fact that it gets more than three million visits a year. As a result, it is essential that it be kept current with the latest technological and ergonomic advances," indicated Gatineau Mayor Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin.
The new Web site now relies on a high-performance search engine that is conducive to an easy and quick user-friendly keyword search. This feature was in fact prompted by a trend towards a two-minute average for visits to the Web site. Users want their information fast.
In addition, given that one out of four visits to the Gatineau Web site is from a mobile, this version of the site has also been updated.
Gatineau's new Web site will replace the old one effective today. We welcome feedback from users.
