Preventive boil water advisory fort part of Gatineau sector
Gatineau, December 16th, 2022. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for approximately 4,000 residences in part of the Gatineau sector. This preventive boil water advisory is being issued due to a malfunction at the Azur reservoir that caused a depressurization of the water system. The advisory is in effect until further notice.
In addition, people in the area may experience a drop in pressure or lack of water until approximately 6:00 p.m. this evening.

The residences affected are located: - South of de la Tire Street; - West of Highway 50; - North of Gatineau Avenue; - East of Saint-Louis Street.
If you are in the area affected by the boil water advisory

Affected residents and institutions must boil their water for one minute before consuming it.
●
Please continue to do so until Gatineau lifts the preventive boil water advisory.
●
After the preventive boil water advisory is lifted: - open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold, and do the same for all water fountains; and - toss out any ice made with tap water during the advisory. - for additional information: gatineau.ca or 311.
