Broken fire hydrant valve in the Hull sector and preventive advisory
Gatineau, July 31, 2015. – Ville de Gatineau is advising the public of a broken fire hydrant valve in the Hull sector. This malfunction is affecting 2,000 people, and causing an interruption in the water supply to homes, businesses and government buildings. The affected area is located on the following streets:

The affected area is located on the following streets: - Rue Champlain, between boulevard Sacré-Coeur and highway 5 - Rue Marston - Rue de Notre-Dame-de-l'Île, between rue Marston and boulevard Sacré-Coeur - Rue Laurier, between boulevard des Allumettières and boulevard Sacré-Coeur - Rue de Verdun, between rue Laurier and rue Notre-Dame-de-l'Île

Please note that the water supply has been cut off.

Once the water supply is restored, people will have to boil their tap water for one minute before consuming it.

Ville de Gatineau will notify the public as soon as the advisory is lifted.
The northbound lane on rue Laurier has been closed.
