Gatineau update on exceptionally heavy rainfall

Gatineau, October 30, 2017. – Due to the very heavy rainfall, Gatineau opened its coordination centre early Monday morning. Gatineau crews are on the ground, adapting their interventions as the situation evolves. Although water has accumulated in a number of areas, river levels have not yet reached the warning mark

o intersection chemin Dufresne and boulevard Lorrain
o chemin Saint-Thomas
o boulevard Maloney between rue Côtéville and chemin du Lac
o rue Versaille between Duberger and boulevard Maloney
o boulevard Lorrain between Saint-René and des Fleurs
o boulevard La Vérendrye Ouest between Montée Paiement and rue Paquette
o boulevard Saint-Joseph and rue René-Marengère

Police and firefighters are also on hand at Parc Riviera to assist residents. Parc Riviera is currently closed.
On Saturday, the Service des communications and the Service des travaux publics created a Web page for information and updates in case of heavy rainfall.
Gatineau has an emergency measures plan for dealing with this type of situation.
