Spring flood: Gatineau opens a donations centre to help the flood victims

Gatineau, April 30, 2019. – Ville de Gatineau, in collaboration with its partners, will open a donations centre on Wednesday morning to help the flood victims. The centre will be located at the Promenade Gatineau (1100, boulevard Maloney Ouest) in the former Payless Shoe Source local (entrance #5 on chemin de la Savane).

Quick facts

For the time being, only the following donations will be accepted:
- non-perishable food;
- cleaning produts;
- personal hygiene products; and
- clean spring and summer clothing in good condition.
The donations centre hours will be as follows:
- Wednesday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and
- Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- This schedule is subject to change depending on needs and demand.
This collection of donations is being organized with our partners Moisson Outaouais and Saint-Vincent de Paul.
Residents wishing to donate money can do so through the Red Cross:
Businesses wishing to donate should contact Gatineau's Service des approvisionnements at 819-243-2315.
Gatineau thanks residents who will be donating items and have donated their time.
