Preventive boil water advisory for the Masson-Angers sector

Gatineau, October 14, 2015. – Ville de Gatineau has issued a boil water advisory for the Masson-Angers sector. This is due to a watermain break this afternoon during work on avenue de Buckingham.

This advisory is now in effect for everyone drinking tap water in the sector indicated on the map.

If you are in the affected area

Affected residents and institutions must boil their tap water for one minute.
These instructions must be followed until Gatineau lifts the preventive boil water advisory.

Please note that the preventive boil water advisory applies only to the consumption of water and brushing teeth. There is not concern about bathing, showering, laundry or dishes.

After the advisory is lifted
Once the preventive boil water advisory has been lifted:

open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold;
follow the same procedure for water fountains; and
discard any ice that was made while the preventive boil water advisory was in effect.
