Gatineau is seeing a rise in water levels in the Aylmer sector

Gatineau, May 1, 2018. – Gatineau is seeing a rise in water levels in the Aylmer sector. If that trend continues, the minor flooding threshold could be reached this evening, May 1.


Quick facts

Gatineau is closely monitoring the situation.
Affected residents in the Aylmer sector can get sand bags in parc Louis-Roy, at the intersection of Minervois and Louis-Roy.
Twenty-seven residences located on rue Fraser are considered priority.
Affected Residents will need proof of residence to get sand bags.
For the time being, water levels are low in the other sectors. Current forecasts indicate that these other sectors are not at risk.
The Service de sécurité incendie (SSIG) has been going door to door to inform concerned affected shoreline residents.
