Update on the special collections of bulky waste and construction residues
Gatineau, July 17, 2019. – Update on the special collections of bulky waste and construction residues.
EAST sector
●
As announced on July 7, the collection of construction residues planned for the week of July 8 didn't occur. The next collection will take place as planned in the week of August 5.
●
There will be a collection of bulky waste in the week of August 12.
WEST sector
●
A collection of construction residues had been planned for the week of July 1. It started, but it is not completed yet. Residents are invited to leave their items curbside until they are collected.
●
There will be a collection of bulky waste in the week of August 5.
●
Another collection of construction residues is planned for the week of August 12.

Gatineau is conscious of the inconveniences caused by these delays. It is monitoring the situation on a daily basis and working with the service provider on finding permanent solutions.

Consult the maps to find out which sector (EAST or WEST) your property is located in.
Between special collections, residents can always bring their bulky waste free of charge to the waste transfer centre. Construction residues can be brought free of charge to the ecocentres. Consult gatineau.ca for locations, business hours and accepted materials.

Examples of bulky waste: mattresses, upholstered furniture, large plastic objects, blinds, pool liners, etc.

Examples of construction residues: wood, gypsum, toilets, sinks, old wood furniture, etc.

You can: - get a personalized calendar for your address; - sign up for alerts and notifications of postponed collections; and - check which is the right collection for your materials or bulky items.
