Preventive boil water advisory for part of Aylmer sector
Gatineau, August 31, 2022. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for approximately 35,000 users in part of the Aylmer sector. This preventive boil water advisory is being issued due to a mechanical malfunction at the drinking water plant that caused a depressurization of the water system.
The notice is in effect until further notice.

The residences affected are located: - South of Allumetières Boulevard; - West of Atholl-Doune Street; - North of Rivière des Outaouais; - East of de la Lobo Street.
If you are in the area affected by the boil water advisory

Affected residents and institutions must boil their water for one minute before consuming it.

Please continue to do so until Gatineau lifts the preventive boil water advisory.

After the preventive boil water advisory is lifted: - open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold, and do the same for all water fountains; and - toss out any ice made with tap water during the advisory. - for additional information: gatineau.ca or 311.
