Confirmation of a Case of COVID-19 at the Mont-Bleu sports complex
Gatineau, October 17, 2020. – Ville de Gatineau has confirmed that one of the employees at the Mont-Bleu sports complex tested positive for COVID-19 today. As soon as it was informed, Gatineau opted for the prudent approach, implementing preventive measures in accordance with the recommendations of the Direction de la santé publique de l'Outaouais. The employee in question is in isolation.
Gatineau is closing the Mont Bleu sports complex as a preventive measure until further notice. The outdoor field remains open for individual or doubles public activities, in accordance with the health measures.
The person who tested positive for COVID-19 last worked at the Mont-Bleu sports complex on October 16.
As you know, since the sports complexes reopened, Gatineau has introduced and followed a series of measures to reduce the risk of propagation: - physical distancing between employees and the public; - procedure masks worn by employees at all times; - site cleaned at least two to three times a day; and - questionnaire filled out by employees every day to assess their health status.
Gatineau is working in collaboration with its partners in the health care network and continuously monitoring the situation with them.
