Gatineau asks everyone to wear a face covering in public places

Gatineau, July 17, 2020. – Starting tomorrow, face coverings will be mandatory in all indoor municipal facilities in Gatineau. In fact, it will be mandatory in every indoor location in the province.

Thus, Gatineau urges everyone to get a face covering and to wear it in order to protect everybody's health.


Quick facts

Gatineau will not distribute face coverings at the entrances to its facilities.
- Residents will need to bring their own face covering, and to put it on before entering a municipal building.
As recommended by the Government of Québec, Gatineau will offer face coverings to its employees.
A face covering must be worn in indoor public places by anyone aged 12 and over.
