Snowflake Kingdom: Changes to be expected in terms of traffic and parking

Gatineau, January 31, 2018. – As part of the 40th edition of Winterlude, a number of traffic and parking changes are to be expected in the Hull sector. These changes will take place near the north side of Jacques-Cartier Park, which is the site of Snowflake Kingdom.

Highlights

Streets temporarily closed to traffic

In order to ensure the safety of festival goers, the following street sections will be closed to traffic on the dates and times indicated below:

Laurier Street, between Sacré-Coeur Boulevard and Dussault Street
Dussault Street between Notre-Dame de l'Île and Laurier
Marston Street between Laurier Street and Notre-Dame de l'Île Street

Weekly schedule between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.:

Mondays, February 5 and 12, 2018
Thursdays, February 8 and 15, 2018
Fridays, February 2, 9 and 16, 2018

Weekend schedule, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.:

Saturdays, February 3, 10 and 17, 2018
Sundays, February 4, 11 and 18, 2018
Monday, February 19, 2018

Street parking temporarily prohibited:

From Friday, February 2 to Monday, February 19 inclusively, except Tuesdays, February 6 and 13 and Wednesdays, February 7 and 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., parking will be prohibited on both sides of the following streets:

Marston Street between Laurier and Champlain streets;
Champlain Street between Marston Street and Sacré-Coeur Boulevard


Quick facts

Local traffic will be permitted for people residing in the closed street sections upon presentation of a traffic pass or their driver's licence.
Emergency vehicles and STO and OC Transpo buses will be free to come and go at all times.
A map showing the affected streets is available at www.domainedesflocons.ca. The population is invited to take note of the temporary signage installed and to abide by the parking zones. We also encourage festival goers to make use of active and public modes of transportation to get around.
Outside the schedules above, the usual regulations will remain in effect.
