Preventive boil water advisory for part of Aylmer sector

Gatineau, December 4^th, 2022. – Ville de Gatineau is issuing a preventive boil water advisory for approximately 35,000 users in part of the Aylmer sector. This preventive boil water advisory is being issued due to a mechanical malfunction at the drinking water plant that caused a depressurization of the water system. The advisory is in effect until further notice.

Quick facts

●	The residences affected are located: - South of Allumetières Boulevard; - West of Atholl-Doune Street; - North of Rivière des Outaouais; - East of de la Lobo Street.

If you are in the area affected by the boil water advisory

●	Affected residents and institutions must boil their water for one minute before consuming it.

●	Please continue to do so until Gatineau lifts the preventive boil water advisory.

●	After the preventive boil water advisory is lifted: - open all cold water taps and let the water run for one minute or until it is cold, and do the same for all water fountains; and - toss out any ice made with tap water during the advisory. - for additional information: gatineau.ca or 311.
