Gatineau, June 27, 2023. - Ville de Gatineau advises the public that the drinking water supply will be interrupted, starting tomorrow morning around 8 a.m., for nearly 300 residences in the Gatineau sector. This interruption is due to planned work on the rue Main water supply system. A preventive boil water advisory will also be in effect as soon as the water supply is restored on the evening of June 28. Further communications will follow.
The residences concerned are located : - South of rue Hupé ; - West of rue Main ; - North of boulevard Maloney Ouest ; - East of rue Broadway Ouest.
The affected area can be viewed at the end of this press release.
Tips and tricks: - Keep some pitchers of water in your refrigerator for your drinking needs (cooking, drinking, pets, etc.) - Fill your bathtub with water so you can pour it into your toilet tank to keep your toilet flushing. - During the interruption, avoid using hot water, because if your water heater runs out, the elements could overheat.
