Work on rue Main: Water interruption expected in part of the Gatineau sector

Gatineau, June 27, 2023. - Ville de Gatineau advises the public that the drinking water supply will be interrupted, starting tomorrow morning around 8 a.m., for nearly 300 residences in the Gatineau sector. This interruption is due to planned work on the rue Main water supply system. A preventive boil water advisory will also be in effect as soon as the water supply is restored on the evening of June 28. Further communications will follow.

• The residences concerned are located :
  - South of rue Hupé ;
  - West of rue Main ;
  - North of boulevard Maloney Ouest ;
  - East of rue Broadway Ouest.
  

• The affected area can be viewed at the end of this press release.

• Tips and tricks:
  - Keep some pitchers of water in your refrigerator for your drinking needs (cooking, drinking, pets, etc.)
  - Fill your bathtub with water so you can pour it into your toilet tank to keep your toilet flushing.
  - During the interruption, avoid using hot water, because if your water heater runs out, the elements could overheat.
