Work on the water supply system: Pressure drop expected in the Buckingham sector

Gatineau, July 11, 2023. - Ville de Gatineau advises the population that a drop in pressure or an interruption in the drinking water supply could occur tomorrow morning as early as 4 a.m. This situation, resulting from work on the water supply system, affects nearly 6,500 residents in the Buckingham sector. The water supply is expected to be restored in the morning of the same day.

  • The properties affected are located in the Buckingham sector, east of the rivière du Lièvre. The affected area can be viewed at the end of this press release.
  • Users will be notified if a preventive boil water advisory is triggered following the work.

  • The public is invited to sign up for the notification system at gatineau.ca/alert in order to receive boil water and/or water shortage notices. These alerts are sent by:
    - Email;
    - Telephone;
    - Text message.
