Public Appeal : The SPVG is seeking information about an armed assault

Gatineau, September 29, 2024. - The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) is asking for the public's help in gathering information about an armed assault that took place during the night of September 28 to 29 on the Promenade du Portage, in downtown Gatineau (Vieux-Hull) in the Hull sector.

Quick Facts :

●	On September 29, at approximately 3 a.m., SPVG police officers answered a call regarding an armed assault that took place following an altercation in the vicinity of a licensed establishment located at 117 Promenade du Portage in downtown Gatineau (Vieux-Hull).

●	Several people were involved in the altercation and one person was injured with a blunt object. – The victim remains in hospital, but his injuries are no longer life-threatening.

●	The SPVG is looking for witnesses, as well as any images or videos taken by anyone present at the scene or posted on social media that could help with the investigation.
