Award-winning artist Donald Doiron has designed a permanent contemporary installation consisting of seven stylized fish with spines made of steel and painted in lively colours. The work gives the newly renovated site a playful and festive air.

In addition, five structures double as benches and serve as reminders of the tradition of bench-sculptures so typical of the Aylmer sector along rue Principale and in parc de l'Imaginaire. These structures have been integrated into the site to blend the Paul-Pelletier aquatic centre and the L'Esplanade in-line skating park.
