Tagged overflow garbage bags are again available
Gatineau, August 21, 2020. – As of August 24, tagged overflow garbage bags will again become available in service centres and ecocentres, or online through gatineau.ca/dtritus. As you recall, the sale of tagged overflow garbage bags was suspended due to COVID-19.

Starting on September 21, 2020, household garbage collection will once again be limited to the contents of gray bins.
●
Households generating more garbage than they can fit into their gray bin will have to get tagged overflow garbage bags for their surplus.
●
Tagged overflow garbage bags cost $2.50 for a package of five. There is an additional fee for shipping online orders.
In order to keep improving services to residents, Gatineau will extend the ecocentres' hours starting August 24. Those extended hours will be in effect until further notice.

The boul. de la Carrière (Hull) ecocentre will be open as follows: - Mondays to Fridays from 6 to 8:45 p.m.; and - Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The Aéroparc (Gatineau) ecocentre will be open as follows: - Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. t0 5:45 p.m.; - Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.; and - Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
